How to Use the Stock Profit & Loss Calculator
Enter your buy price, quantity, sell price, and any applicable brokerage and charges for both buy and sell sides. The calculator immediately shows your net profit or loss, break-even price, and percentage return. This is essential before closing any stock position in India.
Example Profit Calculation
If you bought 100 shares of Tata Motors at Rs 400 (total Rs 40,000) with Rs 100 buy charges, and sold at Rs 450 (total Rs 45,000) with Rs 100 sell charges and Rs 50 STT: net profit = Rs 45,000 - Rs 40,000 - Rs 100 - Rs 100 - Rs 50 = Rs 4,750. The return percentage = Rs 4,750 / Rs 40,100 = 11.85%.
